The Galaxy Z Fold 7 might have a titanium back cover. According to a report, Samsung plans to use titanium in the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and another foldable phone that folds in three parts. These are expected to come out later this year. The titanium will be used on the back of the phones, not the sides like in some older models.
Samsung has used titanium in some of its foldable phones before, like the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. The back part, called the backplate, helps support the phone where it folds. Before, Samsung used stronger steel or carbon fiber (a lightweight material), but now they are using titanium because it is light and very strong. However, it’s also harder to make.

The report also says that the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 won’t have a special pen (called S Pen) with a digitizer, which is a part that helps the pen work smoothly. This helps make the phone thinner. Samsung is also working on a new screen that can work with a stylus (a pen) without needing the digitizer.
Apple has a similar technology where the pen has a tiny battery inside to know where it is. Samsung is working with a company called HiDeep to develop this, but it’s not ready yet. The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is a very thin foldable phone and has a pretty good camera.
But, there are other foldable phones from Chinese companies that are even thinner, have bigger batteries to last longer, and can charge faster. The new Galaxy Z Fold 7 might be the thinnest foldable phone ever and could be made with a special metal called titanium.
