iPhone 17 Air LEAKED: Shocking Battery Capacity & Weight EXPOSED

iphone 17 air

A new secret from Apple’s supply chain (where they get parts for making iPhones) has shared some exciting details about the new iPhone 17 Air.

It will be very thin, only 5.5 millimeters thick, and it will have a certain size for its battery. The battery will hold 2,800 units of energy (called milliamp-hours), which is less than the battery in a similar Samsung phone that has 3,900 mah. But Apple might have special technology to pack more energy into the same space, making the battery better than it sounds.

Some people are wondering if Apple is making the battery smaller on purpose so they can sell more extra batteries or battery cases. But others think Apple might be working on smart features that help save battery power, so the phone still lasts a good amount of time even with a smaller battery.

Since the iPhone 17 Air is so thin, Apple had to make some changes. For example, it only has one camera on the back, instead of multiple cameras. Also, its battery might not last as long as the other iPhones. People are curious to see if it can bend without breaking. The iPhone 17 Air is coming out in September, and people are talking about how it will be even thinner than Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge.

The iPhone 17 Air might be just 5.5 millimeters thick, while the Samsung is 6.4 millimeters. To help you picture how thin that is, there’s a video showing a special mold (a kind of fake version) of the iPhone 17 Air from China. This mold is about 5.65 millimeters thick, which is really, really thin — even a tiny bit thicker than what was expected, but still super slim.
