Maruti Ignis Radiance Edition: Affordable Safety Meets Style in 2024

Maruti Suzuki Ignis Radiance Edition Launched:

Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Radiance Edition of Ignis. The special thing is that the company has launched it at a lower price. Its starting ex-showroom price is Rs.5.49 Lakhs. Whereas the ex-showroom price of the Sigma variant of the regular model of Ignis is Rs.5.84 Lakhs. That means the new variant is cheaper by Rs.34 thousand. The company claims that this new edition is more stylish and equipped with advanced features.

Features and Specifications of Maruti Ignis

There is no mechanical change in this variant. It gets a 1.2-liter petrol engine, which generates 83 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual and automatic gearbox. The company claims that this car gives a mileage of 20.89Km/l. It gets a boot space of 260 liters.

Talking about the features of Radiance edition, it has features like 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, push start/stop button, automatic climate control, driver seat height adjuster, steering mounted controls, multi information display (MID) with TFT screen. It can be bought in 7 monotone and 3 dual-tone paint options.

For safety, it has dual front airbags, rear parking camera, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Anti Lock Braking System (ABS) and rear parking sensor. However, the company has not provided 6 airbags in it like Swift.

Crossed the 2.8 lakh unit mark


This car with a design inspired from a small SUV was first launched in the Indian market in 2017. Since then, the company has sold more than 2.8 lakh units of Ignis. The company has made some cosmetic changes in the new Radiance edition, which makes it a little better than the regular model. It has a bold exterior design, premium interior and modern technology. Ignis has been built on Suzuki’s Total Effective Control Technology (STECT) platform.
