Videos on the internet showed huge flames burning a tall, five-story building during the night, and firefighters worked hard to put out the fire. The fire started in the shopping mall and a restaurant inside the building.

Many families were there shopping and eating when the fire broke out. Firefighters managed to rescue some people and put out the flames. A big fire happened in a large store in the city of Kut in Iraq. Sadly, at least 60 people lost their lives, and some others are still missing.

The fire burned so badly that it was very hard to tell who some of the bodies belonged to. Some bodies are still stuck under the debris from the fire.

The leaders are now trying to find out why the fire started. They said they will share the results of their investigation in about two days. They also said they are suing the owner of the building and the mall because of what happened.
