Some workers from the department in charge of building bridges were found to have made mistakes, so four of them have been told to stop working temporarily.
The government is taking these mistakes seriously and might take more action if needed. The Chief Minister (like the boss of the state) asked for this investigation, and a special team is looking into what went wrong. They will make a full report in about a month to explain everything.
After they find out what caused the accident, they will decide what to do next. Rescue teams worked hard to find and save people. They have now found all the cars that fell into the river, and they have given the bodies of the people who died to their families.
Sadly, 19 people lost their lives, and one more person died while being treated in the hospital. Two people are still missing, meaning nobody has found them yet. A bridge called Mujpur-Gambhira in Gujarat, India, collapsed recently.
A team of experts is investigating why it fell down. They found that the main reason was that some parts of the bridge, called pedestals and joints, broke or crushed because they weren’t strong enough.
