feature called Contact Sync can be introduced on WhatsApp soon. This feature will help in keeping your contacts saved on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp keeps introducing new features every day to improve the experience of its users. These days, the instant messaging platform is working on a feature called ‘Contact syncing’. As the name suggests, this feature will help users to keep contacts saved. This feature is going to be very useful especially for those users who run 2 WhatsApp on a single smartphone. In such a situation, different contacts can be accessed in different WhatsApp accounts through this feature. Let us know the details related to this feature.
Wabetainfo’s latest report states that a new feature has been spotted in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.19.12 version. This is a ‘Contact syncing’ feature that allows saving contacts in one WhatsApp account. So, even if you change the device, the saved WhatsApp phone numbers can be used in another phone.
A screenshot of this feature has been shared in the report. It can be seen in the screenshot that if you turn on the toggle of WhatsApp Contacts, then the numbers will be synced in WhatsApp. At the same time, after toggling off, those numbers will be deleted, which you will not be able to restore.
As we told, this feature is going to be especially useful for those users who run different WhatsApp accounts on the same device. Till now, only the phone numbers saved in a phone can be accessed in WhatsApp. However, with the new update, your contacts do not need to be saved in the phone. WhatsApp itself will save the contact for you. If you buy a new device and install your WhatsApp in it, then you will be able to access all your old contacts in that new device.
Currently, this feature is in the development stage, which may be released with a future update.
