Blinkit Introduces Installment Payment Option for Expensive Purchases
Following its popular 10-minute delivery service, Blinkit has launched a new feature allowing customers to purchase high-value items with greater ease. Now, if you spend more than Rs 2,999, you won’t need to pay the full amount at once.
Flexible Payment Options
Wondering when you’ll pay the rest of the amount? Blinkit now offers an installment option. Blinkit’s owner, Albinder Dhindsa, announced this on X (formerly Twitter), sharing that users can now split their payments over time instead of paying upfront.
Benefits of the New Feature
This installment payment option makes it easier for customers to buy costly items, helping them manage their finances better. Introduced shortly after Zepto’s “Buy Now, Pay Later” (BNPL) feature, Blinkit’s option will allow customers to purchase goods above Rs 2,999 without financial strain.
This is especially useful for those buying in bulk, whether for electronics or groceries. With the Diwali shopping season approaching, Blinkit aims to ease the financial load for customers.
How to Use the Installment Payment Option
Customers can make payments in installments when purchasing goods worth over Rs 2,999. This service is available through partnerships with major banks like HDFC, SBI, and ICICI. If your name is listed with these banks, you’ll be eligible to enjoy Blinkit’s installment plan.
