India wants to host the Olympics in 2036, which would be the first time India hosts this big event. India has already hosted other big sports competitions before. This next year is very important for India to show they are ready to welcome athletes from around the world. There was a big fight between two countries called India and Pakistan.

They started shooting planes and robots called drones at each other. But just before things got worse, they stopped fighting and agreed to stop for now. India said they made this decision by talking directly to Pakistan, but some people from the United States also helped. A former American leader, Donald Trump, even said he helped make peace happen and praised both countries for being smart.

Because of the fighting, India and Pakistan haven’t played sports against each other for a while. The coach of the Indian cricket team said there should be no more matches between them until they fix their problems.

Usually, they only play in big tournaments like the World Cup, but they haven’t played each other in a long time. They will play again in a tournament called the Women’s World Cup later this year and maybe in another one called the T20 World Cup in 2026.
