Maruti Suzuki’s electric car has been in headlines for a long time. Because opponents have already presented their own environmental friendly models. In this regard, the Indo-Japanese company is several steps behind. But this time they have taken steps in that direction. Along with the fourth generation Swift, the company’s first electric SUV EVX was seen testing on Indian roads for the first time.

Incidentally, Suzuki displayed two cars at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo. The production-ready model of the EVX electric SUV is expected to make its international debut in 2024. The model may be launched at the end of next year or the beginning of 2025 in India. The SUV offers multiple airbags and an advanced driver assistance system. It is expected to provide a range of 550 km on a full charge. But in reality, it can be assumed that the range will be close to 400 km.

Maruti Suzuki EVX was spotted testing in front of the company’s factory in Gurgaon. However, the company did not reveal anything about the architecture of the car. Reports claim it will be based on a new skateboard platform, called the 27PL. It is built on Toyota’s 40PL electric skateboard architecture. The car will be manufactured at Suzuki’s Gujarat plant.
