PM Modi Reveals Why He REJECTED Trump’s Invite to the US

PM Modi and President Trump had planned to meet in Canada during the G7 Summit, but Trump left the meeting early because there was a lot of fighting between Israel and Iran at that time.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he turned down an invitation from US President Donald Trump to visit Washington D.C. because he needed to go back to the “holy land of Lord Jagannath,” which is in Odisha, India.

While he was at the G7 Summit, President Trump called PM Modi on the phone and asked if he would come to Washington D.C. for a meeting and lunch. PM Modi thanked him for the invite but said he had to visit Odisha, which is the home of Lord Jagannath, a very important deity in India.

So, he politely said no to Trump’s invitation. He spoke about this at a public event in Bhubaneswar, a city in Odisha. Recently, PM Modi had been in Canada to attend a big meeting called the G7 Summit, where he met leaders from other countries, including France’s President Emmanuel Macron.

This was the first time PM Modi took part in the special celebrations for the first anniversary of the BJP government in Odisha.

During this event, he also started some new development projects worth a lot of money. A government official, Vikram Misri, said that PM Modi also invited President Trump to visit India later this year for a special meeting called the Quad Summit.
