PM Modi’s historic Ghana visit

PM Modi’s historic Ghana visit

On Wednesday, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Ghana’s President John Mahama. They talked about becoming even better friends and working together in many areas. PM Modi said India and Ghana can help each other with important things like minerals (rocks that are useful), defense (keeping countries safe), ships and boats at sea, and energy (power).

They also want to share their cultures, like music, dance, and traditions. PM Modi also mentioned that trade between India and Ghana is growing. Indian companies have invested a lot of money in Ghana, and they hope to do even more trade in the next five years.

He also said India can help Ghana with digital payments using a system called UPI and work together to find and mine important minerals underground. India and Ghana signed four special agreements called MoUs. These are plans to work together more closely in areas like culture, health, making sure things meet certain standards, and talking regularly at high levels.

One agreement is to promote cultural exchanges, so people from both countries can learn about each other’s art, music, and history. Another helps with traditional medicine and training experts.

The third agreement helps both countries share ideas about standards and certifications. The last one sets up a special meeting to keep talking and working together regularly.
