The 31-year-old Egyptian Liverpool star has received an offer of 180 million euros from Al-Ittihad, according to Saudi media. Salah has renewed his contract with Liverpool for three seasons and turned down the Saudi offer. Salah’s agent tweeted about the Saudi club’s offer and decision, “If we were thinking about leaving the club (Liverpool), we would not have renewed the contract with Liverpool last season. Salah is committed to Liverpool.”
Mohamed Salah was heavily rumoured to leave the club last season. Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG were also reported to be interested in signing him. Chelsea were interested in him. Al Ittihad had already surprised by picking up a first-rate European footballer like Karim Benzema. Stars like Roberto Firmino, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson from Liverpool have joined the Saudi club this season. Salah was also heard as a possible next name on that list.
