Recently, the police kept Sonam and four other people in jail for eight days so they could ask them more questions and try to understand what really happened.
The police want to take them to the place where Raja’s body was found to see exactly how everything happened.
Last month, a woman named Sonam Raghuvanshi was accused of hurting her husband, Raja, while they were on a trip in a place called Meghalaya. She and her friend, Raj Kushwaha, both said they didn’t plan to hurt Raja and kept blaming each other. Police officers who talked to them said that after some men hit Raja on the head, they threw his body down a big hole in the ground.
Sonam took Raja to that spot pretending she wanted to take a picture, but then the men helped throw his body there. After that, they all rode away on a scooter and went separate ways. The police chief said they still need to ask Sonam many questions about money and how the plan to hurt Raja was made.
They also found some of Sonam’s jewelry and other clues like the weapon used and clothes with blood on them. They have CCTV videos showing Sonam and Raja together and have talked to people who saw them. The police are trying to find out how they went to the place where Raja was hurt, especially since they took a different path than normal, which was near a disagreement between two groups of people.
Raja and Sonam had been missing for a while after their trip, but Raja’s body was found. The police caught Raj Kushwaha for helping plan the crime, and Sonam turned herself in at a police station in a different state called Uttar Pradesh.
