WhatsApp has launched a new Filters and Backgrounds feature, allowing users to apply various filters and backgrounds during video calls.
WhatsApp continues to roll out new features regularly, and its latest addition is the Filters and Backgrounds option for video calls. This feature is now available, enabling users to use filters and change their backgrounds, much like on Instagram, Zoom, or Google Meet. It’s simple to use, and here’s a detailed guide on how to make the most of it.
How to Use Filters and Backgrounds on WhatsApp
During a video call, you will notice options for filters and backgrounds directly on the screen. You can now change your background or add filters just like other popular video call platforms.
Steps to Use Filters and Backgrounds:
- Open WhatsApp on your device.
- Navigate to the call section or open a chat and initiate a video call with a contact.
- During the call, click on the pop-up frame where your video appears.
- A list of filters will be displayed. You can choose any filter you like by clicking on it.
- To change the background, simply select the background option after clicking the frame.
- You’ll have a variety of background choices, such as a café or library.
Note:
This feature has been tested on an iPhone. While it is rolling out gradually, it may not yet be available on all Android devices. Hopefully, all users will have access to it soon.
