What happened to Rishabh Pant? India star in pain

India was playing an important cricket game against England in Manchester, and something worrying happened on the first day. Rishabh Pant, who is both a player and the person who catches the ball behind the wickets, had to leave the game suddenly because he hurt his foot really badly.

This happened during a part of the game called the 68th over, when India was trying to score runs. Rishabh was trying to hit the ball in a tricky way called a reverse sweep but didn’t connect well. The ball then hit his right toe, and he immediately fell down in pain. He had trouble standing up. The England players asked the referee if Rishabh was out, but the replay showed he didn’t hit the ball in a way that would make him out.

Still, the most important thing was that Rishabh was hurt. After Rishabh left the game, another player named Ravindra Jadeja went to bat with Sai Sudharsan. Jadeja had scored some runs earlier, and now India is counting on him and Sai to help them keep playing well without Rishabh. Everyone hopes Rishabh isn’t hurt too badly and can come back to play soon.

This new injury came just a week after Rishabh hurt his finger while playing in a different game at Lord’s. Even though he kept playing then and scored some runs, this new injury might be even more serious. India was already behind in the series, with 2 wins for England and 1 for India, and now they are worried about losing their important player.
