WhatsApp to Introduce New Reshare Button for Status Updates
WhatsApp is set to launch a new Reshare button that will allow users to easily re-share their status updates. This feature is expected to roll out in the coming days.
Following its recent testing of contact mentions in status updates, WhatsApp is now focusing on enhancing the status feature with the addition of a Reshare button. This will enable users to share their status with a wider audience, improving the overall user experience. Information about this upcoming feature was revealed in the Android 2.24.20.9 beta update on the Google Play Store.
Reshare Button to be Introduced Soon
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently working on the Reshare button. With this feature, users will be able to easily re-share their status. While still in development, support for the feature will be made available in the near future.
A screenshot shared on Twitter shows the Reshare button located at the bottom of the status window, allowing users to re-share their status updates. This update is expected to improve communication, as it will allow users to share their status with more contacts.
Feature Testing Underway
Currently, the Reshare button is being tested with beta users. It is anticipated that the feature will be made available to all users in a stable update by late October or early November.
Additionally, WhatsApp has introduced GIPHY animated stickers, making chats more enjoyable. These stickers will be available to both Android and iPhone users in the coming days. Another recent update includes the ability to move stickers within the sticker tray.
