On its release, VALORANT became one of the most popular competitive titles equal to Counter-Strike with the support of the company’s own esports ecosystem. It became so successful on PC that rumors began to spread about a mobile version, which continued until the start of development last year.
VALORANT Mobile China Release
On August 19, 2025, VALORANT Mobile officially launched in China, proving the rumors true. It went live after months of testing and pre-release marketing had finished and was made with the help of Lightspeed Studios, a company well-known for its experience in developing mobile fps games.
Its initial response was positive, as it seemed that Riot somehow managed to recreate an almost identical experience to the pc version, receiving worldwide attention, making the community excited about a mobile version, only for it to get met with complete silence from the developers since.
When Is the VALORANT Mobile Global Launch?
It has been a year since the mobile shooter went live in China, but the rest of the world is still waiting to have it in their hands. Although Riot Games has not announced an official release date, community members started speculating in the comments section of one of the posts that it may arrive in 2026, as there is not any information about it as of August.
The latest rumors suggest that we should expect an announcement from Riot before the end of the year, and if we are lucky enough, the game may hit the App Store and Google Play Store before 2027 arrives.
PUBG PC was the first title with competitive esports to get its mobile version, which led to the parallel esports scene, which now attracts more viewers than the pc one. VALORANT Mobile may become the next big thing, and with the efficient esports ecosystem that Riot supports, we may witness another PUBG Mobile story with the shooter hitting the mobile space.
