Two teams, Washington Freedom (WF) and MI New York (MINY), played in the big final game of the Major League Cricket in 2025.

The game was on July 13 in Dallas. Washington made it to the final because their last game was canceled because of rain, and they had the most points in the league after playing 10 matches. They finished first with 16 points.

So, MI New York became champions again! MI New York, who had won the league before in 2023, had a harder time getting to the final.

They finished fourth and only won 3 games out of 10. Now, in the final game, Washington was the defending champion, meaning they had won last time.

But MI New York beat them this time by 5 runs. Some players, like Trent Boult and Rushil Kenjige, helped MI New York by taking important wickets.

The two top players in the tournament from MI New York were Rachin Ravindra and Quinton de Kock, who scored the most runs in the whole tournament.
