A recent update to Call of Duty was made available on Battle.net and Steam, resolving a blue screen error issue that affected a significant number of Black Ops 6 and Warzone players. Currently, the newest Call of Duty update is only accessible to PC users via Steam and Battle.net, however, Activision stated that the update will also be available for Microsoft Store users on February 5th.
Following the launch of Season 2 on January 28, Treyarch Studios and Raven Software have made consistent updates to Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The most recent update before the PC specific one on February 4 was on February 3. This update was issued due to a multitude of bugs present in both games. The final addition to ranked play in Black Ops 6 was the vote-to-forfeit feature, and Warzone had several weapon tweaks. Model L, KSV, and Feng 82 were all buffed, as the Jackal PDW lost its medium damage range strength.
While a blue screen error fix was released soon after in Call of Duty, there are many other issues that are currently bothering the game and its fans. Recently, one issue was identified by a user on Reddit, who noticed that a new Season 2 multiplayer map is causing some Black Ops 6 players’ frames per second to drop rather drastically. However, one player realised that breaking all of the glass panes on the map Bounty would result in their frames per second dropping from almost 200 to just 60. Others reported a similar issue and demanded that Treyarch Studios should patch it as soon as possible.
This is not only Black Ops 6 players who are experiencing performance issues. Before the start of the game’s new season, Activision posted a lengthy community update, and the company announced that Warzone would have less content than had been planned for Season 2. The studio said it would be focusing on game play balancing, eliminating bugs, and improving the overall quality of life throughout the season as opposed to adding content. So, when Season 2 dropped, all Warzone players got were new Ranked Play rewards and a new perk to try out.
