Indian athletes are making the country proud by winning one gold after another in the Asian Games 2023. India has already secured gold medals in tennis along with gun shooting and horse riding. This time, the Indian youths were victorious in the squash category against the arch-rivals Pakistan. India lost first in the thrilling tournament and fell far behind. In the first match, India’s Mahesh Mangaonkar lost to Pakistan’s Iqbal Nasir in 0-3 sets. In this match, Mangaonkar disappointed India by losing 8-11, 3-11 and 2-11 in 29 minutes of fighting. During the match, Nasir and Mangaonkar got into several arguments with each other.
On the other hand, Sourav Ghoshal brought the Blue Brigade back with a fierce fight even though they were 0-1 behind. He virtually blew away Pakistan’s Asim Mohammad Khan in 3-0 sets. One of India’s best squash players grabbed the win by 11-5, 11-1 and 11-3 in 30 minutes. Then in the last and third match, India’s Abhay Singh secured the gold after defeating Pakistan’s Noor Zaman. The third match between these two players started at 1-1. Although Abhay Singh went ahead first, he fell behind by 1-2 at one point. However, he eventually got his rhythm back in the fourth set and won the match 3-2 to secure India’s 10th gold. In this match, Abhay and Zaman fought for 1 hour and 5 minutes. In tennis, Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosale. won the gold for our nation.
Indian U-19 youngsters also won the SAFF Championship. India U19 faced the arch rivals Pakistan U19 in SAFF U19 Championship 2023 and the Indian U-19 team won the game by 3-0. Football lovers were excited to see the two arch-rivals on a big stage like the final in the SAFF U-19 Championship. In the 64th minute of the match, Manglenthang Kipgen of the Indian team scored the first goal of the match. Kipgen scored again for India in the 85th minute. Gwgwmsar Goyari scored another goal for the team in the 94th minute.
