Asian Games in Japan by finishing third in the Gran Turismo 7 race. The event was held at Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, where eight players raced in three races to see who would get a medal. Kim Young-chan fought hard and earned a bronze medal.
The winners were decided by adding up points from all three races. Kim started strong, earning points in the first race. In the second race, he started in 6th place but raced very well and won, finishing just a tiny bit behind the winner from Malaysia. His good racing put him in a good spot for the final race. Before the last race, Kim had 13 points. Two other players, one from Japan and one from Malaysia, each had 16 points.
This meant Kim could still win gold or silver. In the last race, Kim finished behind a player from Saudi Arabia named Naif Abdulhakim S Alfale. Both Kim and Alfale had the same total points after all races. But Alfale did better in the last race, so he got silver. Kim got the bronze medal. Kim Young-chan races for DCT Racing. He made it onto South Korea’s team by winning a big race in his country in May. His bronze medal in Japan was a very exciting moment for him. At first, South Korea’s esports team didn’t do well. Their eFootball team was out early, and they didn’t win any medals at first.
But Kim’s bronze medal was a big help and gave South Korea its first prize at these games. Other teams from South Korea will also compete soon in fighting games like Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and The King of Fighters.
