There is a dispute between the fans of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in world football. There is a fight between those fans about their favourite footballers. There are very few fans who love both. If someone likes Ronaldo doesn’t mean he/she has to hate Messi.

We saw the mutual respect between Ronaldo and Messi, even though both of them entered the field thinking it was a fight. “Our fight is over,” Ronaldo said in an interview yesterday. It was a very good fight. The audience enjoyed it. People who like me, don’t have to hate Messi. The reverse is the same. We played well. We changed the history of football. The whole world respects us. That is the most important thing.”

When discussing his rivalry with Messi, Ronaldo was heard to say, “Messi followed his path. I chose mine. Both are now out of Europe. I heard he is playing well there. I’m playing well here. I don’t see rivalry that way. We have been sharing the stage for almost 15 years. We are not even friends. Never had dinner with Messi. But professionally we have a lot of respect for each other.”

Once Messi was in Barcelona and Ronaldo was playing for Real Madrid. Both of them have been fighting there for almost 10 years. The whole world would have tuned in to see them fight. Those times are over. Currently, Messi is playing in the American club Inter Miami, while Ronaldo is playing in Saudi Arabia’s club Al Nassr. The chance to face each other is almost over.
