Shubman Gill World Cup return date confirm

Indian cricket team started World Cup 2023 by defeating strong opponent Australia. The Indian team still has to go through a tough fight. On the other hand, Shubman Gill could not play in the first match of the World Cup due to physical illness, and now the team is more worried about him. Although there were several openers in the Indian dugout for this important tournament, Shubman Gill consistently proved himself. Gill is the first-choice opener with the captain Rohit Sharma.

Tomorrow, October 11, the Indian team will face Afghanistan in the second match of the World Cup. Afghanistan lost the first match to Bangladesh by 6 wickets, they can give big teams enough trouble in any situation. The Indian camp is under a lot of pressure even though they have enough players and support from the home crowd. Shubman Gill did not travel to Delhi with the Indian team for tomorrow’s World Cup match and now it is not sure whether he will be available for the high-voltage match against Pakistan.

Before the first match of the World Cup, it was known from various sources that Shubman Gill was infected with dengue. Currently, he is admitted to a hospital in Chennai as his body is getting sicker. A BCCI source said in an interview, “Shubman Gill’s platelet count has dropped and he has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai as a precautionary measure. BCCI’s medical team is monitoring him.” This is a matter of concern for the Indian team.
