Irfan Pathan Shuts Down Fan Who Cursed MS Dhoni For Ruining His Career

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan came up with a brilliant response after the 2007 World Cup winner took cognisance of a fan’s tweet about MS Dhoni. Irfan Pathan wasn’t just a classy bowler, he also remains a class act off the field. The former Indian pacer is currently playing for India Legends in the Road Safety World Series 2022, as well as captaining the Bhilwara Kings in Legends Cricket League.

Pathan was only 19 when he made his international debut in a Test match against Australia in Adelaide in 2003, Pathan went on to play 29 Tests, 120 ODIs and 24 T20Is.

Irfan was addressed by a fan on Twitter regarding his non-selection in the Indian cricket team. “Every time I see Irfan Pathan in these leagues, I curse MS & his management even more…I can’t believe he played last white ball game at the age of just 29…Perfect No. 7, any team would die for.. But India played Jaddu, even Binny #LegendsLeagueCricket,”

Taking cognisance of the tweet, Pathan came up with a heart-warming response and the former cricketer was hailed by netizens on the internet. “Don’t blame any one. Thank you for love,” Pathan responded.

Talking about Pathan’s domestic career, the 37-year-old plied his trade with the Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Lions in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Pathan played 103 matches in domestic cricket’s biggest extravaganza – the IPL. The former CSK star scored 1,139 runs and bagged 80 wickets in the Indian Premier League.

Pathan played his last game for India just a few days before his 28th birthday in the 2012 T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka against South Africa. His last appearance for the Men in Blue in ODI cricket came a few months back at the Pallekele International Stadium against Sri Lanka. Pathan took a five-wicket haul in his final appearance for the Indian team in 50-over cricket. Pathan did not play a Test match for India after 2008.
