Manchester City signed new messi from Argentina

Argentinian talent Claudio Echeverri has become well-known in the football world, especially after impressing everyone in the Under-17 Copa America last April. His exceptional performance at the U17 World Cup has not been ignored by top European clubs, leading to fierce competition for his signing. Top clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and PSG have all been actively watching Echeverri. However, Manchester City, winner of the Champions League and Premier League, seems to be at the edge of signing the young talent.

Manchester City has reportedly signed a 25-million-euro contract to bring Echeverri to the club, as revealed in a report. Man City signed Julian Alvarez in January 2022, who has since become a crucial member of the team. While Barcelona and Chelsea are also in the race to sign the young Argentine, Manchester City seems to have a strategic advantage over Barcelona in their bid to get the player often praised as the new Messi. Echeverri has made his decision to not renew his current contract but to remain with his current club, River Plate, for an additional year or six months. Claudio Echeverri’s agent and family have been in contact with the club president.

If Echeverri’s statements hold, the football world may witness the debut of the new Messi in Manchester City’s squad by 2025. The Argentine youngster’s existing contract with River Plate is until December 2024. Chelsea is actively competing with Manchester City for his signature, observing Echeverri as a rising star. On the other hand, financial problems are reportedly restricting Barcelona to match the significant offers made by Manchester City and Chelsea.
