Rohit Sharma is about to make a World Record

Currently, Indian captain Rohit Sharma is standing on the verge of another record in international cricket. He is about to become the owner of the most sixes in international cricket, he may have to wait for a few more matches. Maybe he will complete this milestone in the upcoming Australia ODI series. Former Caribbean star player Chris Gayle is the only cricketer ahead of Rohit in the list of sixes.

Chris Gayle’s number of sixes in three formats in international cricket is 553. In short, he is a legend of big shots. He is also known as ‘Universe Boss.’ Currently, the total sixes of Rohit Sharma in three formats is 545. So, Rohit needs only 8 more sixes to break the gigantic record set by ‘Universe Boss.’ Rohit is excited about this milestone. The captain of the Indian team recently joined a live chat on YouTube. There he was heard saying, “It will be a unique record. I never imagined in my life that I could break Chris Gayle’s record. It’s very fun. I’m not a strong person, but I like to hit the ball very hard.”

Rohit added about his early career. He said, “When I started playing cricket, we were told to time the ball properly. We were told to drop the shots we played in the air. We used to practice in our school, so it might be that we didn’t have any chance to hit the ball in the air, just in case someone got hit by it. We didn’t even have a net back then, so we played shots on the ground all the time. That’s how the basics started, time the ball right, get on the ball line, and keep the head in one place. If we hit the ball in the air for big shots, the ball will go out of the ground.”
