In total, seven groups, made up of 59 lawmakers and former diplomats, visited 33 countries, including the European Union.
Each group had a leader, and they shared their experiences with the Prime Minister. The government is happy with the work they did to tell the world about India’s efforts to keep everyone safe.
A politician named Shashi Tharoor said that his meeting with the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, was friendly and relaxed. PM Modi met with groups of politicians who had traveled to different countries to talk about India’s problems with terrorism, which is when bad people hurt others.
These groups went to 33 countries to explain India’s position and how it is working to stop cross-border terrorism. Prime Minister Modi said he was proud of the groups of politicians and former diplomats who traveled to many countries to show India’s commitment to peace and fighting terrorism.
He praised them for doing a good job explaining India’s stand and making India look strong and united. Shashi Tharoor said that the meeting with the Prime Minister was nice because everyone was friendly, and they talked informally, not like in a formal office meeting.
The Prime Minister even walked around and talked to different groups of people. They all agreed that it would be good if more Members of Parliament (MPs) visited other countries more often to share India’s views.
